I booked ski school through shawneemt.com a few weeks before our trip, and by the time lesson day came around, we were really hoping it would help my kid feel more comfortable on the slopes. Unfortunately, it felt rushed from the start. The group was bigger than I expected, so my kid spent a lot of the lesson just standing around waiting for a turn. The instructor seemed nice, but there wasn’t much one-on-one help or clear guidance.

By the end of the lesson, my kid was still confused and a little upset, which was disappointing after planning the day around it. For the price, I expected a much better experience and more actual instruction. We tried to make the best of the rest of the afternoon, but I wouldn’t book their ski school again.

I was trying to book online and thought it would take just a couple minutes, but the site kept freezing on me. Every time I got close to finishing, it would glitch and make me start over again. After a few tries, it got frustrating.

I got lost quickly, honestly. The pages don’t really explain things well, and if you’re new, it’s easy to feel like you’re just guessing your way through. It also has that weird feeling like there’s no real person there to guide you or clarify anything, which made it even more frustrating.

It didn’t really feel like a place for family stuff. The whole experience had kind of a cold vibe, like there wasn’t really a real person there making it feel welcoming or helpful.

I was mostly focused on just getting a few good runs in, but the long lines were hard to ignore. By the time we finally got tubes, they were super icy and uncomfortable, and the staff seemed checked out whenever anyone asked for help. Maybe there were other parts of the place that were better, but the tubing area was all I really noticed, and it was kind of a mess.

I was hoping for a decent day out there, but the snow was just kind of sad. I mean, one second you’re trying to enjoy the run, and then suddenly there’s dirt showing, icy patches, and these bare spots everywhere. It felt thin all over, like winter showed up halfway and then forgot to finish the job. Maybe I picked a bad day, but after making the drive, it didn’t feel worth it

When we arrived, the lodge felt clean and well taken care of, which always makes a stay feel more relaxing to me. The beds looked good, and the bathroom was in nice shape too. I did notice a little dust tucked away in the corners, but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and I didn’t have any real complaints

I went in hoping for a bit more variety on the trails, but most of it ended up feeling similar after a while. The riding itself was fine and the area seemed easy enough to get around, but it didn’t really keep me interested for long.
If you’re just looking for something simple and low-key, it could be a decent spot. For me, though, it wasn’t really worth the trip, and I left feeling a little underwhelmed.

I checked the site before we went and it made parking sound straightforward, but I don’t know why, it ended up being such a hassle. The lot was confusing, we had to park far from where we needed to be, and getting out afterward took forever. It started the whole visit off on a bad note for me.

I rented a skid steer and overall had a good experience. It ran well and looked like they actually keep up with maintenance, which I appreciate because it’s the right thing to do when people are relying on the equipment. I did notice one hose looked a little worn, but it didn’t cause any problems. Overall, I felt like it was a fair rental and I’d use them again...

I was at Shawnee Mountain last weekend, or at least I’m sure it was last weekend, and overall the lift waits were better than I expected. In the morning everything moved fast, maybe 5 to 10 minutes most of the time. Then somewhere around lunch, or maybe a little after, the lines started building up a bit, but they still kept moving. I’ve definitely stood around way longer at other mountains. I’d give it 4 stars because the main lift got crowded later in the day, though I kind of lost track of when the afternoon rush actually started.

The food was just kind of bland, and the drinks felt overpriced for what they were. There wasn’t much of a selection either, so it was hard to find something that really sounded good. Just not much going on with this place in terms of food or drinks.

The ticket was way too pricey for what you get. What annoyed me even more is how it feels like there are all these little policy loopholes that let them tack on extra costs or avoid making things fair for customers. I get that places need to make money, but this just didn’t feel worth it to me.
